Triumphant
Summer Tour 2016

The 2016 summer tour was an enormous success. This year more than ever, the young musicians of both countries expressed their profound recognition for the project, with an enthusiasm which was reflected in their dynamic performances.

The first concert of the 2016 tour took place on the 2nd of September in Rhodes. It inaugurated the Music in Rhodes Festival at the Palace of the Grand Master.
During this event, the performance was recorded by a team of professional technicians who traveled from Athens in order to produce a non commercial CD. The final recording will be offered to EBU and expected to be broadcasted by most major European Radios, during a period of one year.
The following day, Greeks and Turks performed together chamber music of their choice.
Τravelling towards its last concert in Izmir, the orchestra gave a performance at the Castle of Kos.

The concert in Izmir was performed at Adnan Saygun Art Center, in Izmir.

Throughout all the concerts, Turkish viola Şirin Hasanova and Greek clarinet Pavlos Serassis performed as guest soloists under the direction of the distinguished Turkish Conductor Cem Mansur.
