Summer Tour 2017

The Greek Turkish Youth Orchestra celebrated its 10th anniversary with a magnificent concert tour

5/9  Crete –  Rethymno – Castle “Fortezza”
7/9  Elefsina
8/9 Athens – Zappeion

Rhodes – Crete – Athens

The first concert of the 2017 tour took place on the 30th of August in Music in Rhodes Festival at the Palace of the Grand Master.
The day before, Greeks and Turks performed together a chamber music concert.
After Rhodes the orchestra travelled to Creta and gave two performances, one in Heraklion and a second in Rethymon in the Castle of Fortezza.

Then the group got aboard a ship to Attiki where they performed in Elefsina (European Cultural Capital 2021) and in Zappeion Megaron in Athens.

Throughout all the concerts, Turkish cellist Gokce Bahar Oytun performed as guest soloist under the direction of the Greek Conductor Zoe Zeniodi.
